Welcome to The Wichita Eagle’s Trivia for Tickets Contest! A correct entry can win a weekly prize of an iPod Shuffle and a $50 iTunes Product, and all correct entries are submitted for a Grand Prize of front row tickets or one of two other sets of tickets to the Elton John and Billy Joel concert on March 3rd, 2010.

HOW TO PLAY

•Each day of the contest a trivia question pertaining to Elton John, Billy Joel or both will be published in a 2 column x 5" Trivia for Tickets box somewhere in The Wichita Eagle.

•The goal of the game is to pick the correct answer each day.

•Contestants must enter their guesses at www.EagleTrivia.com and may enter one guess per day.

•All correct entries for the week will be included in a random drawing for a iPod Shuffle and a $50 iTunes Product.

•All correct guesses throughout the five-week contest will be entered into a random drawing for front row tickets to the Elton John & Billy Joel concert to be held on March 3, 2010 at INTRUST Bank Arena or one of two additional sets of tickets.

OFFICIAL RULES FOR 2010 Wichita Eagle Trivia for Tickets

HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

•Contestants will try to choose the correct answer to a trivia question within the pages of the Wichita Eagle, beginning on Monday, Jan. 18, and ending on Sunday, Feb. 21 , and each week thereafter for a total of 5 weeks. The final weekly contest will end Feb. 21, 2010.

•Entries will be accepted online only at www.EagleTrivia.com.

•Only one entry per day, per email address, will be permitted.

•All other correct entries for the week will be entered into a drawing for an iPod Shuffle and a $50 iTunes Product.br>
•All entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm local time on Sunday to be eligible for that week’s drawing. The daily question resets each day at midnight.

•The correct answer will be published in The Wichita Eagle the following day beneath the current days question.

•Weekly winners will be published in The Wichita Eagle and on EagleTrivia.com each Wednesday throughout the 5 week game period.

•Each correct entry will be entered into the drawing for the Grand Prize of 2 front row tickets to the Elton John Billy Joel concert or 2nd or 3rd place prizes of a set of tickets to the concert at the conclusion of the 5 week game period ending Feb. 21, 2010.

•Sponsor is not responsible for late, incomplete, void, corrupted, garbled, misdirected, or otherwise unintelligible entries and/or for any problems, bugs or malfunctions contestants may encounter during the registration process. Incomplete, garbled, corrupted or otherwise illegible entries are void and will not be accepted. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify false entries or entries suspected of being false.

•Contestants must enter using their real name and address, and must provide a valid email address at the contest website www.EagleTrivia.com - Contestants found to be placing multiple daily entries may be disqualified from the entire contest.

•No purchase is necessary to win. A current copy of the newspaper is available for inspection in the lobby of The Eagle during regular business hours. Wichita Public Library cardholders may access Eagle content at library branches. Clues will not be available on Kansas.com.

ELIGIBILITY:

•Participants must be at least 18 years old as of Jan. 18th, 2010, to submit a guess and win.

•Employees of INTRUST Bank Arena, The Wichita Eagle, the McClatchy Co. and their affiliated subsidiary companies, independent contractors and members of their respective immediate families are not eligible to enter or win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren.

•Odds on winning depend on the number of entries received.

DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION:

•Drawings will be held the Monday following each weekly contest period.

•Weekly winners will be notified by email and be sent a Consent Form and Release. Once the Consent Form and Release has been signed and returned, the prize will be sent by Certified Mail with signature card.

•Failure by any such winner to respond to such notification within seven (7) days from such notification, as determined by Sponsor in its absolute and sole discretion, may result in disqualification of such winner and an alternate winner will be selected. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the notification procedures in connection with the selection of any alternate winner, if any.

•All correct weekly entries will be submitted into a drawing for the Grand Prize, which will be conducted at the conclusion of the series of 5 weekly drawings.

PRIZES:

•The Weekly Prize is an iPod Shuffle and a $50 iTunes Product

• The Grand Prize is a pair(2) of tickets to the Elton John, Billy Joel concert to be held march 3, 2010 at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas

•T2nd and 3 rd Prizes are a pair(2) of tickets to the Elton John, Billy Joel Concert to be held on March 3, 2010 at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas

PRIZE CONDITIONS:

•Except where prohibited, winners, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, will be required to execute a Declaration of Eligibility, a Liability and Publicity Release, and, if necessary, a Tax Acceptance Form ("Affidavit/Release"). If any winner fails to sign and return such documents in a timely fashion, or if any winner is found to be ineligible, or if any winner does not comply with these Official Rules, then that winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. All Winners waive the right to assert as a cost of winning a prize any and all costs of verification and redemption to redeem said prize and any liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. All federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) arising from this promotion will be the sole responsibility of the winner. Except where prohibited by law, winners’ entry and acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and/or the party providing the prize to use winners’ name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address for promotional or advertising purposes in connection with this promotion and in all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, without review, permission or further compensation. All entries are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes. Eligibility, age, and claims made by the winners also are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes.

•Winners must accept prize(s) within 30 days of notification. Sponsor reserves the right to choose alternate winner in the event prize(s) have not been accepted within allowable time frame. Winners will be issued an IRS form 1099. The winning of a prize is a taxable event.

SWEEPSTAKES CONDITIONS: VOID WHERE PROHIBITED:

•This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws of the United States. By participating in the Sweepstakes you authorize Sponsor and the parties providing the prizes to communicate with you by e-mail, postal mail, facsimile, or standard cellular telephone line. By participating, entrants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the promotion or these Official Rules. Winners and all other entrants also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from and against any claims, damages, disability, attorneys' fees, and costs of litigation and settlement, as well as any liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from (i) redemption, acceptance, possession, ownership, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any promotion-related activity or participation in this promotion, or (ii) printing, distribution or production errors. Sponsor or its affiliates may rescind any promotion found to contain such errors without liability at its sole discretion. Sponsor makes no warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use of any prize, including, without limitation, quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose (unless Sponsor provides the prize winner with written warranties). Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any additional expenses, omissions, delays or acts of any government or authority.

RESTRICTIONS:

•The prizes consist of only what is specifically described above. Sponsor may at Sponsor's sole and absolute discretion provide different prizes of equal or greater value. Sponsor shall not be liable to any winner or any person claiming through such winner for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal) labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond Sponsor's sole control.

•The prize, puzzles, and contest administration are the responsibility of The Wichita Eagle.

•The Wichita Eagle reserves the right to discontinue the Eagle Trivia for Tickets game at any time.

•All applicable laws, rules and regulations must be followed. Violators may be disqualified.

•Decisions of the contest sponsors are final.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

•Sponsor is not responsible for: (1) lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete entries due to system errors or failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions and/or entries; (2) technical failures of any kinds; (3) failures of any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion; (4) unauthorized human and/or mechanical intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion; (5) technical or human error, including typographical errors, which may occur in the administration of the promotion or the processing of entries; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the promotion or receipt or use of any prize. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant's sole remedy is another entry in the promotion. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the promotion or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor's representatives. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend all or any part of the Sweepstakes and to select a potential winner from among all eligible entries received by Sponsor up until the time of such cancellation, termination, modification or suspension, as applicable. Caution: any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage Sponsor’s website or undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, sponsor reserves the right to seek civil and/or criminal prosecution and damages (including attorneys' fees) from any such entrant to the fullest extent of the law.

JURY TRIAL WAIVER:

•Except as prohibited by law and as a condition of participating in this promotion, each entrant waives any right he/she may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under or in connection with this promotion, any document or agreement entered into in connection herewith and any of the transactions contemplated hereby or thereby.
